Founded in 1998 in the heart of Sterling, Virginia, Building Blocks Learning Academy is a private school that offers educational services to children from ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. Notably, we utilize curriculums that have been specially designed to promote learning and development of the whole child. Our curriculums focus on the following vital areas: Social, Physical, Cognitive, Emotional, and Language. Simply put, we strive to ensure that our young students are developing completely so that they can become successful and well-rounded individuals.

At Building Blocks Learning Academy, we offer so much to help young minds grow—including curriculum topics that span every aspect of child development. Our Baby Bright Infant Program is designed to nurture individual infants, while respecting the differences in culture and lifestyle needs of the children and families we serve.

For toddlers ranging from 16 months to 24 months, we feature Baby Bright Toddler Programs, which provide developmentally appropriate, safe, inclusive, and engaging creative environments. Our Young Explorers Program is ideal for two and three-year-olds, and focuses on such learning skills as: alphabet, color concepts, and numbers/shapes. For pre-school kids, BBLA features a Jr. Academics Program, which promotes exploring through play. Further, BBLA offers a Jr. Academic Pre-K Program for four-year-olds that equips them with the tools to have a successful and positive Kindergarten experience. We also provide expanded learning opportunities with our School-age Kidz Klub I and II Programs. A high-quality Before and After School program, Kidz Club supports developmentally appropriate cognitive, social, physical, and emotional outcomes. Whether aged Kindergarten to 2nd Grade (Kidz Klub 1), or 3rd – 5th grade (Kidz Klub II), our young students enjoy receiving academic support, art enrichment, recreation, and nutrition.
